【 関係副詞 Where のポイント】
関係副詞の where は場所に関する二つの文章を繋げる時に使います。
there の代わりに使われます。
◎文章の作り方
作り方は簡単！
始めの文章にある場所の後にwhereを置きます。そしてthereを取ります。
例）
・That is the house. I lived there.
あれがその家です。私はそこに住んでいました。
→これを1つに纏めると、
・That is the house where I lived.
あれは私が住んでた家です。
※“there”は、「動詞」に対する「目的語」ではなく、「副詞」なので、
ここでの’’where’’は「関係副詞」と呼ばれます。
◎関係副詞whereは書き換え可能！
関係副詞のwhereは in which やto whichに書き換え可能です。
例）
・That is the supermarket .I went there yesterday.
あれはスーパーマーケットです。私は昨日そこへ行きました。
(注意：there＝to the supermarket のこと。)
→これを関係副詞を使って纏めると、
・That is the supermarket where I went yesterday.
あれは私が昨日行ったスーパーマーケットです。
→これをwhichを使った文章にすると、
・That is the supermarket to which I went yesterday.
あれは私が昨日行ったスーパーマーケットです。
※注意点は、“which”は「代名詞」の”it”の代わりしかできないので、
「前置詞」の”to”を残す必要があります。
’’前置詞（to）+ 関係代名詞(which)’’ の組み合わせになるわけですね！
例文集）

・That is the place where I really want to go.
あれは、私が本当に行きたい場所です。
・The town where I lived when I was a child was very small.
私が子供の頃住んでいた町は、とても小さかった。
・This is the place where the accident happened.
ここが事故のあった場所です。
・This is the park where we used to play.
ここは私たちが昔よく遊んだ公園です。
・This is the library where I used to study when I was a student.
これは私が学生時代に勉強していた図書館です。
・This is the place where I met my boyfriend for the first time.
この場所は初めて彼氏に出会った場所です。
〚in which / to which〛
・That is the aquarium to which I want to go with my family.
それは私が家族と一緒に行きたい水族館です。
・This is the Ramen restaurant to which I want to take my parents.
これは私が両親を連れて行きたいラーメン屋さんです。
・That is the most expensive restaurant to which I never go.
あれは私が絶対行かない一番高いレストランです。
・That is the zoo to which I went when I was a teenager.
あれは私が10代の時に行った動物園です。
・That is the apartment in which I lived before.
それは私が以前住んでいたアパートです。
・This is the house in which the Prime Minister lives.
これは、首相が住んでいる家です。
※関係副詞や関係代名詞は英会話を学ぶ際、つまずきやすい文章構文となりますが
コツさえ押さえればそれほど難しくはありません！
